Dr. Stephan Ortner is an Austrian board-certified Facharzt for Traumatology/Orthopaedics with over 20 years of experience in his field. After studying Biology/Genetics and later Medicine at the Medical University Vienna he received his training at several University Clinics at the General Hospital Vienna (AKH Wien). Before he moved to the UAE in 2011, he gained knowledge in his field as a consultant in other ma-jor hospitals in Austria.

With a great thirst for knowledge, Dr. Stephan is frequently attending scientific meetings and train-ing courses so that his clinical offerings are the very best available. Although a good Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Stephan exhausts non-invasive or conservative therapy before offering surgery. With a background in genetics and biology, he has been successfully ap-plying this knowledge in the area of Regenerative Medicine for his patients.
His surgical interest spans from treating injuries and fractures in adults and children to (arthroscop-ic) surgeries of the upper extremity and knee.
