Dr Khalil Rehman, an esteemed HOD & Consultant Neonatologist and paediatrician with over 32 years of extensive medical experience. Dr Rehman is highly skilled in the management of high-risk newborns, particularly those born at extreme gestational ages and low birth weights. His dedication to patient-centered care and multidisciplinary expertise ensures the highest quality of care for his patients.

Dr Rehman’s journey in neonatal medicine began in the United States, where he served as the Director of Neonatal Services and led a busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). His leadership and expertise were key in providing exceptional care for critically ill newborns. In 2007, he relocated to Dubai, where he established a Level 3 NICU, specifically designed to care for high-risk infants from 23 weeks of gestation and beyond. His wealth of experience in managing newborns with complex medical needs has earned him a reputation for excellence in neonatal care.

In his recent role at NMC Specialty Hospital Al Nahda, Dubai, Dr Rehman continues his work in providing exceptional neonatal care. He manages newborns with extreme gestation and weight, ensuring the best possible outcomes for these vulnerable patients. His approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, ensuring that every decision is made with the utmost care and consideration.

Dr Rehman is a Diplomate of the American Board of paediatrics and the American Board of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He has also been widely published in renowned industry journals, further solidifying his standing as a leader in his field.
