Dr. Bhuvan Machani

Dr. Bhuvan Machani is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. He completed his MBBS from Gulbarga University in India and then moved to the U.K. to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Tr & Orth).  Subsequently, he completed an MCh degree in Trauma & Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool, U.K. He further enhanced his expertise by doing a Fellowship in Shoulder and Upper Extremity Surgery from Wrightington in the U.K., a Fellowship in Sports Medicine from the University of Manitoba in Canada and a Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery from Epsom in the UK. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Shoulder and Elbow Society of India.

Dr. Machani spent many years as a Consultant Shoulder Surgeon at City Hospital Birmingham before relocating to UAE, where he worked first at Burjeel Hospital and then at Kings Hospital, Dubai. With almost three decades of experience and skill in Orthopaedics especially his exceptional proficiency in upper limb orthopaedic surgery has made him the preferred choice for international patients and professional athletes. He is widely regarded as one of the premier orthopaedic surgeons in Dubai, particularly renowned for his skill in treating shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions.

Dr. Machani has successfully treated shoulder dislocation, rotator cuff tears, impingement, arthritis and shoulder replacement injuries, AC joint injuries, clavicle and shoulder fracture, frozen shoulder and arthroscopy. He is an expert in arthroscopy of the elbow and treats tennis and golfer’s elbow, arthritis, fractures, and stiffness of the elbow. Besides these, he is proficient at treating all kinds of wrist and hand conditions including treatment of Scaphoid and other carpal bone fractures, arthroscopy, Scapholunate and TFCC ligament injuries, tendinitis, Dupuytrens contracture, Trigger fingers, Carpal tunnel and ulna nerve problems. 

During his leisure hours, Dr. Machani likes to keep fit through cycling, running and trekking. As an avid cyclist, he has participated in many international cycling tours and races. He has taken part in major marathons in London and Berlin and trekked to the Himalayas EBC, Gokyo and Chola pass. He speaks English, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.
