Dr Ashraf's career journey spans across prestigious institutions, showcasing his commitment to excellence in ophthalmic care. He served as a Cataract and Refractive Surgeon in Dubai, UAE. Prior to this, he held the position of Executive Medical Director & Cataract surgery trainer at one of the prestigious ophthalmic hospitals back in Egypt.

Dr Ashraf holds a Master of Ophthalmology in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, laid the foundation for his career with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University, Egypt. Dr Ashraf's academic journey is marked by notable achievements and continuous pursuit of knowledge. He completed his Diploma of Ophthalmic LASER Applications at Cairo University, Egypt, focusing on the safety and efficacy of LASERs in eye diseases. Furthermore, he acquired Advance Glaucoma Surgical Training from the International Glaucoma Society in Geneve, Switzerland. Dr Ashraf is also a member of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and serves as a scientific advisor to the Emirates Ophthalmology Society.

Throughout his career, Dr Ashraf has undertaken various leadership roles and responsibilities, contributing to the enhancement of healthcare delivery and professional development. He has developed and delivered integrated clinical governance systems, ensuring high-quality care standards.
