Dr. Tetyana Palamarchuk

Dr. Tetyana Palamarchuk is a Specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Meadows branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She obtained her MBBS from the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsya, Ukraine and completed training from North and East London Deanery. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) 

Dr. Palamarchuk has extensive experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, having worked in three countries. She initially practised as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Doctor in Ukraine, then after a short stint as a Registrar in Guyana, South America, she relocated to the UK. Here she had the good fortune to experience a rewarding career in medicine and surgery in the NHS. She joined as an SHO, then became a Senior Clinical Fellow, followed by the position of  Consultant in the Division of Surgery at BHRUT Hospitals NHS Trust. She is a member of the General Medical Council (GMC), the British Medical Association (BMA), and the Medical Defense Union (MDU), all in the UK. After more than two decades in the UK, Ms Palamarchuk moved to the UAE.

 While working with the NHS (UK) as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, she acquired the skills required to run a labour ward, antenatal, postnatal, gynaecology wards, and antenatal and gynaecology clinics. She also managed the operation theatre, specialising in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Trained and fully qualified in complex obstetric surgery and emergencies, Dr. Palamarchuk has managed all types of pregnancies including patients with hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes and complicated Caesarean sections. She is proficient in treating uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis and issues related to menopause. She also carries out fertility investigations and treatment, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, hysterectomy, laparoscopic sterilisation and laparoscopic treatment of ectopic pregnancies. She is a good communicator and trained in conflict resolution which is a great skill to have when managing complicated cases.

During her leisure hours, she likes to keep fit by diving and travelling. She speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian.
