Dr. Maria Shabbir

Dr. Maria Shabbir is a General Surgeon with more than 23 years of surgical experience.

She graduated from Peshawar University, Pakistan in the year 1992 as the best Graduate with a Gold Medal. Upon completion she pursued her Residency from Civil Hospital & Dow Medical College Karachi and acquired Fellowship (FCPS) in Surgery from College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan in 2002. She also has a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) from World Laparoscopy Hospital Dubai & (FAS) Fellowship from American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Maria’s previous assignment was in Zulekha Hospital Dubai from year 2022 till 2025. Prior to that she was also associated with Emirates Hospital and Medcare Group. She was also a Consultant and Professor of Surgery in Hamdard College of Medicine & Dentistry back in Pakistan and was actively involved in surgical teaching and training of under and post graduate medical and dental students. Dr Maria is an experienced General, Laparoscopic and Breast surgeon

She has special interest in the management of proctology like hemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal fistula and management of breast diseases.
